The founding owner of Koorts Attorneys, Heinrich Koorts, holds a Bachelor of Law degree and various certificates in Insolvency Law, Business Rescue, Trade & Commercial & Investments. He’s also a certified Business Rescue Practitioner and serves on the Master of the High Court’s (SA) List of Liquidators.
Heinrich is a member of the North & South Legal Practitioner’s Councils with right of appearance in the High Courts of the Western Cape and Gauteng. He’s also a member of the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association (SARIPA), the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL) and is furthermore a qualified auctioneer and property professional.
Heinrich specializes in corporate restructuring, business rescue, insolvency- & property related matters, drafting of contracts and has substantial and broad-ranging experience in business for more than 25 years, including small and medium sectors to large corporations.
He’s passionate about matters relating to insolvency, commercial, contractual, and property law as well as those matters concerning the provisions of the Companies Act, 71 of 2008, which includes business rescue.
